AnimalLens values your privacy. This policy explains how the app handles camera frames, local preferences, in-app purchase entitlements, and network requests made when legal or support pages are opened.
The current version requires no registration or sign-in. The app does not collect names, phone numbers, email addresses, precise location, contacts, advertising identifiers, or cross-app activity. It contains no advertising or cross-app tracking. The purchase service uses a randomly generated anonymous App User ID, which the developer does not use to identify you personally.
The app requests camera access only when you use live animal-vision simulation or the pet shopping assistant. Camera frames are processed in real time on your device to create visual effects and analyze the color at the center of the viewfinder. Frames are not saved, uploaded, sold, or sent to the developer or any third party, and the app does not record audio.
You can revoke camera access at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera. Camera-dependent features will stop working, while the rest of the app remains available.
The app uses system-provided local storage for necessary state such as whether onboarding has been completed, an anonymous App User ID, and a cached purchase-entitlement status. This information is not used to identify you personally. Uninstalling the app normally removes local app data, but does not by itself delete Apple transaction records or RevenueCat purchase records.
The app offers a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles payment, billing, and transaction processing. The developer does not receive or retain payment-card information.
To display products, validate transactions, prevent fraud, restore purchases, enable purchased functionality, and measure purchase performance, the app uses RevenueCat to process a randomly generated anonymous App User ID, product and transaction identifiers, purchase history, entitlement status, storefront locale and currency, and network or device technical information needed to provide the service. RevenueCat is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking. RevenueCat processes this information under its privacy policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy/ . Apple processes information under its privacy policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/ .
This Privacy Policy, the User Agreement, and the Support page are hosted by Notion. Your device connects to Notion only when you choose to open these pages. To deliver the page, Notion may process an IP address, device or browser technical information, necessary cookies, and ordinary server logs. The AnimalLens developer does not use this information for advertising or cross-app tracking. Notion’s processing is governed by its privacy policy: https://www.notion.so/help/privacy
AnimalLens does not sell user data. You can remove local preferences by uninstalling the app. Purchase and transaction records are retained by Apple and RevenueCat under their policies and applicable law; Notion retains its logs under its own policy. To ask about privacy or request action regarding anonymous purchase records, contact us using the email below. Transaction or compliance records that must legally be retained may not be deleted immediately.
The app is not directed specifically to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Parents or guardians should decide whether camera features are appropriate based on the child’s age and understanding.
We reduce privacy risk through data minimization and on-device processing. If app functionality or data practices change, we will update this page and its effective date and request renewed permission when required.
